After being turned down from many other bakers, Raleigh Cakes stepped up and took on this cake with everything they got. Raleigh Cakes did my gender reveal cake and I could not have been happier with it. I'm not even sure the reference photo I gave them was a cake I'm pretty sure it was a porcelain pumpkin but the recreated perfectly with my colors! The Raleigh Cakes team have outdone themselves! I could not have asked for a better cake. They added so much attention to detail in making a replica of a Fallout Power Armor Helmet that even the small screws looked real! It is made of Red Velvet Cake with Vanilla Swiss Meringue Buttercream, fondant, chocolate, and licorice (for the wires). We had a bday dinner at Ruth’s Chris and since I am from out of town, I paid a very reasonable delivery fee to the restaurant, so it was there when I arrived to decorate the table. There are not enough words to express the extreme talent, creativity, and execution of Aurora! She created the most outstanding college graduation cake for my son, without any ideas from us to shared pictures from his Instagram and saw a painted guitar that he did. The story of the guitar is quite sweet. It was given to him at 15 from his godmother in Switzerland, then he outgrew it, when he did he painted it and we gifted it to her as a piece of art when he was 18.He is a talented abstract artist, and she saw the guitar and said “this is the cake”. The ironic thing is that his godmother from Switzerland was coming to the graduation so it was a double surprise for both of them.The cake looked so real that my son was so in awe kept saying that he didn’t remember the guitar being so small. In a 12 month period I ordered 4 cakes from Aurora. One for a bridal shower, one for a baby shower, one for a Christening and the most recent for my son’s 30th birthday. Each one was absolutely gorgeous and insanely delicious. We’ve had carrot, chocolate and vanilla cakes with a variety of scrumptious fillings and I cannot choose a favorite.
